Sagittarius, the forever in love sign. Plus, the most ardent optimists, the most starry of all dreamers. Nothing is out of reach for this sign and the weirdest theories are the most valid. From UFOs to time travel, they will say yay to everyone. This is exactly how they travel. To the most fascinating places, hubs of culture and cafes, cities with the most romantic skylines and where adventure is just around the corner.

With all that in mind I could only think of one place, the great love of lovers – Paris. This is for you Sagittarians, one of my favorite sun signs. Not to mention, I am also a Sagittarius.

Love love in this land of Love Locks.

I will not deny that I have not been impressed by Mr. Dan Brown’s few words about the Holy Grail. I wouldn’t deny that I want to go badly either the Louvreto see Mona Lisa and speculate (at least) a little about the existence/non-existence of the Holy Grail. Is it not of mystery? And is not solving mysteries one of the essential Sagittarius traits. So let’s walk to this mecca of mystery (just a museum for others) and do some hunting. This one, for the joke of it. Would you have asked for the Catacombs of Paris too, but I’m sure Sagittarians believe in the supernatural and wouldn’t like the fact that there are remains of six million or so people around. Case closed.

Koffie, On the Rocks.

Door on the rocksI meant in the streets, cobbled. If there’s one thing Sagitarians are fiercely protective of, after their loves of course, it’s coffee. To believe me, you’d have to see a shooter having coffee. It is with great feeling when they mix sugar, pour some milk and stir. Clockwise and then counterclockwise. Two taps spoon on the rim of the cup. Then they take the cup to the nose and inhale for a few relaxed seconds, with their eyes closed. With the first sip, they open their eyes and sigh. Everything for the love of coffee. My choice for a coffee (it’s never just one) in Paris is to Cafe Verlet. They have the world’s 30 best pure coffees, from €3 per cup! Sigh. Have it right here, right after the chasebecause it is right in front of the Louvre.
Outside in the open air.

This sun sign is an interesting mix. While some of them consider jumping off a rock as the perfect outdoor activity, others might consider lounging in the sun as perfect. So I mixed the two, made it into a concoction and named it as Channel Cruising. Lazy, still on the way. From around €16 for a 30 minute ride, these cruises are great ways to spend an evening. You will know the meaning of otherworldly experience as the waters shimmer with reflections from the French lamps flickering on the sides.
R for retail therapy.

When the Sagittarians go shopping, their mouths are permanently formed so large Os, making shopkeepers happy because they know there will be no negotiations. This sun sign is all about fashion fashion clothing. Here, too, there are two extremes. One going for essentially designer, tailored clothes, while the other opts for the baggiest, junkie-hippie look clothes (to be worn on all occasions). That’s true Avenue Montaigne to Avenue des Champs-Elysées for the brand enthusiasts, and the Saint-Ouen flea market for lovers of vintage and hippie clothing.
On this counter therapy, I bid you farewell. I have to travel a lot and pack and shop and a birthday cake too. Let me know how Sagittarius was your journey.
Until then, happy travelling.
