2. Bhandardara A pretty hill station on the banks of the Pravara River, close to Mt. Kalsubai, Bhandardara (5,400 feet) is the highest peak in Sahyadris. About 185 km from Mumbai, this would be your best choice if you want to start your year away from the maddening city life.

Convert cost price: The nearest railway station from Bhandardara is Igatpuri and you can opt for taxis here (INR 800 to INR 1,000). Regular bus transport is about INR 50 from Igatpuri to Bhandardara. A taxi from Mumbai to Bhandardara costs around INR 3500.
